Rest In Peace, Frenchman’s Guy. I didn’t know you personally, but you sired a spunky little mare my Forever Cowgirl rode and loved.

Joslyn called her ‘Bubbles’ and i’ll never forget the giddiness and excitement she expressed when she couldn’t wait for me to get on her and run her down the fence and turn into it to show how catty Bubbles was! Of course i was impressed! But not as impressed as a few months later when Jos had trained Bubbles on the barrels and entered her first exhibition run in Kaycee. She had a nice, easy going, clean run and I was glad i was there to video. She ran maybe a couple more times in Kaycee before fall cattle work and then the next spring at our beauty and the beast rodeo (which was held on memorial weekend), they were the talk of the town, history in the making of our Forever Cowgirl legacy. Bubbles feeling quite fresh that cool, spring day started bucking around the first barrel and Joslyn rode her through it and finished the pattern! Of course not in competitive time but she sure made an impression on all of us! Our local photographer David Huber captured treasured photos of that run! You can watch the video Joslyn made of that run comparing “improvement” on it in her next successful run at the annual TenSleep July 4th rodeo! We are forever grateful to the owners of 'Bubbles'; Carla Hubbard and Bobby Brubaker, who have donated her to a breeding program that her offspring (barrel prospects) sales benefit veterans.
